Chennai: Classes for first year BE/B Tech students in self-financing engineering colleges will commence on September 7, according to Anna University (Chennai) vice-chancellor P Mannar Jawahar.

However, classes for freshers who have joined courses in the College of Engineering in Guindy, A C College of Technology , Madras Institute of Technology and the School of Architecture and Planning all departments of the Anna University (Chennai) will begin on August 10.

The second and final phase of the single window counselling for Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions which got underway on Thursday is scheduled to end on August 10.
